POC Support Program
Rapid launchpad for UG students to validate ideas, conduct market research, and build first functional prototypes with ₹30,000 in non-dilutive grant funding.
Eligibility
Who Can Apply
- UG students currently enrolled at IIT Bombay
- Minimum 1 semester remaining at time of application
- Team size: 1–4 members (all must be current IITB students — no external members)
- All disciplines welcome — open theme
- IP ownership compliance required (signed undertaking at application)
- Faculty advisor confirmation optional but recommended
Application Process
Applications are rolling year-round — no single annual deadline. Evaluations are conducted in periodic cycles (monthly or quarterly). Submit via the Accubate portal. An automatic acknowledgment email with an application ID is sent upon submission. The team conducts an initial completeness check within 3–5 business days. Incomplete applications are returned once for correction.
Required Documents
- Team Registration Form — All member details, roles, LDAP IDs
- Project Proposal — Max 2 pages — problem statement, solution, projected impact, target users, expected outcomes, metrics
- Budget Breakdown — ₹30,000 allocation across allowable categories
- Faculty Advisor Confirmation — Optional but strongly recommended

- Travel expenses (receipts required)
- Consumables / materials (invoices required)
- Software services (pre-approval required)
- Prototyping costs (pre-approval required)
- Any other expenses with prior approval

- Capital equipment exceeding ₹5,000
- Office furniture or infrastructure
- Personal gadgets
- Food, hospitality, or gifts
- Full-time staff salaries
- Travel beyond approved rates

Reimbursement model — teams submit invoices/receipts + expense form to the Program Manager. Disbursed via IITB ERP.

- Prototype progress demonstrated

- 100% activities completed
- Live demo to Groww Foundation representatives
- Final report submitted
- Impact documentation prepared
